Friday was the official start of the CCCC AGM. Being as this is my first meeting, there were a lot of introductions to be made. Even though I’ve known so many of these people though email, eBay, and though this blog, I’ve never had the chance to meet them in person. Needless to say it was very nice to finally put faces with names.
Last night’s reception was great. Barry Taylor, John Morris, and Josef put together a display of every variation of Robert Murphy’s Patent corkscrew. Not sure where my camera was, but it was quite the sight. Hopefully Josef got a picture…
Yup, he does!
Since the reception only served wine and appetizers, we were pretty hungry by the end. Most of us retired to the bar for dinner and stories. Although no corkscrews were exchanged today, it was clearly the beginning of a fantastic weekend to come!
