This weekend is the Palmer-Wirfs Antique Show at the Portland Expo. I went down there today for the Dealers Open to get first dibs on the goods, but considering I was 3 hours late, I guess you’d call it “sloppy seconds?”
Anyway! The show was fully packed with dealers and LOADS of porcelain advertising signs. Any guesses why?
As for corkscrews, I was able to score 2 lady legs (that I’ve been watching for 2 years now), a working turning head snifter, and a couple others. Though Williamson’s seem to have endless types of advertisements on them, this one was for “Theo. Gier Wine Co. of Oakland, California”. Kinda cool!
